here is part 1 to the conversion, feel free to ask questions.. i will have a list of parts and lots of pics to follow ...

and b4 i start this i want to give a thank you to kckid1695 for giving me pointers and steering me in the right direction, thanks!!

parts i used and ohh yeah i replaced a stepper motor while i was in there (white circle thing)...

ok this is the stuff you'll need 20pack of 5mm leds, 50 pack of 3mm leds (all flat tops and 180* view) and 50 pack or more i dont know yet of resistors 470 ohm 1/4 watt ...

this is what you start with...

this is what a stock bulb looks like just toggle it back and forth till it pops off they are lightly soldiered on...
UserPostedImage

ok it is very important to make sure your positives and negatives are in right, your leds will be easy to tell the long leg is positive but when you soilder them to the board make sure you have them like i have them, the resistors are soildered to the positive leg, i took very close up front pics so it shouldn't be a problem to tell , this will save you hours of trouble shooting...

the gauge cluster is where you will use the 5mm LEDS no 3mm LEDS in there...

OK step two operation airbag switch...

ok now for the airbag switch. i went through 2 of them but the 3rd one i figured out the secrete.
this is what you start with. to get the top peice off you will need to pop the key hole round cover off first then wedge a screw driver and pry the top off (not an easy task) looks like this when done..take note to how everything looks and watch out for the spring in the bottom when pulling it apart...
UserPostedImage

here are a series of pics when done. the circuit board is very fragile DO NOT MELT the factory soldering it will part from the circuit board and you will be SOL trust me i found this out the hard way twice.as you can see i left one of the stock bulbs because i wanted the "airbag off light" to still be red . what you need to do is cut the bulbs off leaving as much wire on there as possible so you have something to solder too...

pay close attention to how things are bent and placed in the pics they are like that for fitment ,room is very tight when putting back together...

sounds like a bulb is burnt out, an LED conversion will take care of that...:) for you guys on here i would charge like 70 bucks for the gauge cluster.

well im not sure yet what to charge or if im going to do the rest for people yet its kinda delicate work and i have messed up 3 air bag switches so far, but the gauge cluster is easy thats why i dont mind doing that but we will see . wait till i get all of my stuff done, just finished the ac controls last night so ill have more pics coming soon.

part 3 ac controls

now keep in mind there are 3 different kind of ac units out there... the dual digital climate control , the two knobs , and the dual vertical sliders... this is the vertical slider unit ......

when doing this complete all of the lights b4 you plug it back in it seems like if only half of the lights done that half of the stock bulbs wont light up so dont get spooked just finish the job.
